Me and my group’s brainstorming for this project began with several different examples of living things in our environment which could inspire us for biomimicry. We looked at idea such as plants, different forms of cacti, spider webs and more, however, we became more interested with rocks as a non-living organism in our environments and how they came to be.
We chose rocks as they are most often overlooked when it comes to projects surrounding biomimicry, and wanted to take on the challenge of mimicking something from nature which isn't a living structure.
Below is outlines our choice of subject, research, concept development, and production/experimentation in mimicking the natural erosion process.
